“ Great food with friendly staff. Service was a little slow but it seems they only have one chef at the moment. But when the food did arrive it was really good. Also should mention they were missiny 3 or 4 things from their menu. The lamb shank and the chicken and mushroom and chips were particularly good. ”

Staff were all friendly and charming and the drinks were great my wife had a large well chilled chardonnay and I had the 49 squadron bitter which was bang on . “ Was recommended the Wig & Mitre by a taxi driver and it didn't disappoint. Great service from Amy & Kai (sorry if I've got your names wrong). The fresh 1/2 sourdough bread with butter and olive oil was a real 'eyes wide open moment' when it arrived but was absolutely lovely to nibble with my '49 Squadron' beer. The pie of the day - pork, cider and something else was delicious along with veg, mash and gravy I would recommend the food served here based on this visit. ”
